Life Lately: New Projects, New Seasons

It’s been a while since I’ve written here—life has been full, and honestly, blogging kept falling to the bottom of my list. But with everything that’s happened since 2023, it feels like a good time to reconnect and share what’s been going on.

This year has been packed with exciting new projects. I started 5 Two Press, a publishing company dedicated to helping authors bring their stories into the world. It’s been amazing to work alongside so many talented people and see their ideas take shape.

I also launched Project Seed Money, a platform that supports women writers in finding funding for their projects. Helping women navigate the challenges of writing and publishing has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m proud of the community it’s starting to build.

On top of all that, I’ve been editing MM Publication, an annual collection of stories, poetry, and creative works from women around the world. I’ve even had the chance to contribute three times myself, which has been such a fun and challenging experience.

Outside of work, life with my three kids is still wonderfully chaotic. I’m homeschooling them, which keeps me on my toes, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. We’re settling into life in northern Nevada, where I’ve been learning to appreciate the seasons. The changing leaves in fall, the crisp chill of winter, and even the first flowers of spring are still new to me, and I’m soaking it all in.

I’ve also been carving out time for some new hobbies. I’ve started teaching myself to sew, which has been both frustrating and rewarding, and I’ve been experimenting more with baking. There’s something so satisfying about pulling a loaf of bread or a batch of cookies out of the oven after putting in the work. These little creative outlets have been grounding for me amid everything else.

It’s been a year of growth, learning, and adapting. I’m excited to start sharing more here again—updates, insights, and even a little about these creative adventures. Thanks for sticking around, and I’m looking forward to reconnecting with you all.
